PK Floating Fish Feeder
The lightweight, powder-coated aluminum body with all stainless steel hardware gives you a rust free feeder that will outlast any other pond fish feeder on the market. The entire feeding mechanism can be removed by taking out only three bolts for easy maintenance. We use a strong 1/4 inch shaft 12 volt motor that scatters over 2.5 pounds of food in a 5 second duration. This unique design consumes little energy to put food in the water, which diminishes problems with motor wear and battery fatigue. Also, since our fish feeder floats out in the pond, gone are the problems with wasted food on the ground and flooded feeders.

Our PK Floating Fish Feeder comes standard with a 12 volt rechargeable battery, varmint guard, solar panel, and programmable timer that can be set for up to 6 feedings per day. The four float design ensures stability even in the strongest storms. An optional remote control makes feeding fish on demand as easy as pushing a button.
Another key feature is the versatility of placing your PK Floating Fish Feeder. With our simple “Weighted Loop” anchor setup, filling your pond fish feeder is quick and easy. You can set it up to pull into the shoreline or up to your dock. For remote locations you can attach a weight to the included center swivel and fill the feeder from a boat. This is ideal for adding multiple fish feeders to large lakes with limited bank access.
We didn’t stop with just creating a totally new idea in fish feeding, we also formulated a multi-size premium fish food designed to maximize growth in both forage and predator species. Our pond feeder has the ability to feed both small and large food pellets up to 3/4 inch diameter. Our fish food has small pellets that target bluegill populations and larger chunks made for largemouth bass, hybrid stripers, and catfish. It has a 45% protein base that is necessary for weight gain in bass and stripers.
PK Mounted Feeder
The Pond King Mounted Fish Feeder is a complete fish feeder with rechargeable battery, solar panel and programmable timer that can be set for up to 6 feedings per day. It will mount to any dock, stationary post, or you can use our swinging bank mount assembly. It holds 50 lbs. of floating fish food and consists of an all-aluminum welded body. It can be mounted off deck so it does not use up any valuable deck space, yet it is easily accessed for filling or setting the timer.
The Pond King Mounted Fish Feeder is a great low cost alternative to feeding your fish if you already have a dock or other lake access point. The varmint guard is standard and will keep pesky coons from getting to your fish food.$525
Pond King Fish Food
Our Fish Food is made in a local feed mill in Muenster, Texas. We developed the formulation in conjunction with the experts at Muenster Milling Company and a consultant with the MSU’s Wildlife, Fisheries, and Aquaculture Department. This 45% protein fish food was specifically formulated for feeding largemouth bass.
Through extensive field research we documented that larger fish would target larger food items first. It is more efficient for a bass to attack fewer large food items than feeding repetitively on numerous smaller food items. Our Pond King Fish Feeders are designed to handle food pellets up to 3/4 inch. We also discovered that mixing larger pellets with smaller pellets gave the bluegill a chance to feed while the bass were targeting the larger pellets. Our Fish Food has produced exceptional growth rates in bluegill, largemouth bass, catfish, and hybrid striped bass.
Fish Feeder FAQ
- How does the feed move from the hopper to the device that dispenses the feed into the water?
Our fish feeders use a funnel system. The feed moves down the funnel and rests on the throwing disk until the timer goes off, engaging the motor.
- What is the power source for the motor?
Both feeders come with a rechargeable battery and solar panel.
- Is there a centrifugal air blower?
No, our automatic fish feeders use a spin cast.
- What is the pellet capacity?
Both fish feeders can throw up to a ¾” pellet. The mounted feeder holds 50 lbs. of food and the floating fish feeder holds 100 lbs. of food.
- What is the feed pattern and distance?
The floating feeder dispenses feed into a circular 8’ pattern. The mounted feeder dispenses 50% of the food straight down, and 50% of the food no more than 6’ out in a semi circle.
- What is the feed time duration?
The programmable timer allows you to set up to 6 different feed times per day with a duration of 1 second up to 30 seconds.
- What is the recommended feeding schedule?
For most ponds, we recommend feeding your fish twice a day (morning and evening) for 3-5 seconds per feeding. This will dispense approximately 2-2.5 lbs. of food each time.
- How much should we feed the fish?
The amount to feed depends on both the number of fish stocked and the aeration of the pond. A well-aerated pond stocked at your typical stocking rates can be fed up to 200 lbs. of food per month.
- Does the automatic fish feeder waste any feed?
- What is the warranty on the feeders?
The fish feeder bodies have a 10-year structural integrity warranty. The timer and motor each have a 5-year warranty from the manufacturer.
- How high should the mounted fish feeder be mounted off the water?
- How much does each feeder weigh?
An empty floating fish feeder weights approximately 80 lbs., while an empty mounted fish feeder weighs approximately 30 lbs.
Wendell from Eldon, MO just installed his Dock Mounted Feeder this week and here’s what he had to say: “Tuesday night I hung my new fish feeder on Lake of the Ozarks, THEN last night at 10 PM ( 26 hours later ) I was on my dock watching more catfish feed than I have ever seen at one time. They were swarming around the food. Up top they were nice clean 15 inch cattys and below them you could see shadows of larger catfish cruising. Good product! That investment will, I am sure, will delight all the little kids and older kids on my dock from this day forward.”
My name is Allen and I work at Herman Brothers Lake and Land Management. I just thought you might be interested in a picture of one of the Floating Fish Feeders out at our trophy lake. So here is the story.
The last week in January was exceptionally warm. By the 31st of the month our lake Norris was completely free of ice! However, that day and into the night the temperature dropped more than 40 degrees into the single digits. The wind picked up and pounded freezing waves onto the beach all night long. The next morning when we got out to the lake we found all 30 acres had frozen over in one night and it was thick enough for me to gingerly walk out to the middle and inspect our poor feeder!
I’m happy to report that the feeder held up great and has since thawed out and is up and running again for our trout. Thanks for making a great product!
